Basic Plus account not showing 2TB storage

Basic Plus

Hi, I am on a Dropbox Basic Plus account, have been for a few years. It shows my storage as 25GB. However I understand that Basic Plus should now have 2TB of space. How can I update the storage space to correct allowance? Will this occur when I renew?

If I try and use the upgrade tool, it says I am already on Basic Plus with 2TB, but my account only has 25GB flagged against it. I don't need to upgrade to family or professional.

Thanks

Mark

Hey ssnostromo, sorry to hear you're having issues with this.

Could you please send us a screenshot of what exactly is reported in your plan tab and another one of the error you're getting when trying to upgrade?

    Thanks so much, Mark!

There's a camera icon in the Reply toolbar, though it may not be visible until you're Level 3 on the forums. If that's the case, just upload the screenshot to your Dropbox account and create a shared link to the file. Reply here with the link.

    Hi Walter / Rich

    See 2 screenshots:

These show that I have a Basic+ account with only 25GB of space, yet if I try and upgrade it says I am on a Basics+ account and should have 2TB of space. My account has just renewed and this hasn’t fixed the problem. Please confirm if I should have 25GB or 2TB of space and if the latter, how do I fix my account to show it. Thanks.

You seem to be confusing two different plans; Basic+ and Plus. Basic+ (which isn't widely available, possibly no longer available) appears to offer 25GB of space, while the Plus plan offers 2TB of space. Your current plan appears to cost AU$43.99. The last time I saw an AU price listed for Plus, it was about AU$170 per year.

So why when I try to upgrade my Basic+ account it says I am already on the Plus. I’ve been with Dropbox for 8 years, and it’s pretty disappointing. I’ve already auto renewed for another 12 months believing I would automatically have the 2TB applied to my account. Looks like I’ll just have to cancel my plan, but I don’t suppose Dropbox care if a customer of 8 years leaves.

Hey ssnostromo! Hope it’s OK to jump in here, and thanks for using our product for all this time.

What Rich mentioned above is correct; Dropbox Plus offers 2TB of space, but it sounds like you’re currently on Basic+, which offers 25GB instead and is no longer available as a subscription.

If you still wish to upgrade to our Plus plan though with the 2TB (you can check its pricing here), we can open a ticket for you, and send it to this email address. This way, our support team can further help you.
