Can't Disable Backups Because the Disable Backup Button Is Grayed Out

Can't Disable Backups Because the Disable Backup Button Is Grayed Out

I'm on a Mac, up to date, and I want to stop using DropBox for backup.

But when I log in to my DropBox account and go to Preferences -> Backups -> Manage Backups -> Adjust Settings, all the options there are grayed out.

I cannot turn off Automatically Back Up Drive, and I cannot click the Disable Backup button.

What am I doing wrong?

I"ve stumbled across the fix.

For some reason, DB had started to back ups removable flash drive that I had inserted, and that filled up my available storage space.

I removed that drive from the list of drives to be backed up, and then the options became available again, so now I've turned off DB Backup.

But thanks for getting back to me so quickly!

Hi @joeholmes, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Just for clarification, are you trying to disable a computer backup or an external drive backup?

Do you see any backups visible on the site?

This will help me to assist further!
