Storage Space

Hey everyone!
I've been running into some recurring issues with the Dropbox automatic backup system, especially after restarting my MacBook M1. It seems that Dropbox automatically starts downloading large libraries locally, even though I have them set to "only-online." This is causing my hard drive to fill up pretty quickly, given that some of these files are as large as 15-30 GB each.
Has anyone else experienced a similar problem or have any insights into how to resolve this? I'd greatly appreciate any advice or solutions you might have!
Thanks in advance! 🙏
Hey @Johanjelonek, thanks for reaching out to us.
Can you firstly let us know which version of the app you have installed and what the sync status is?
You can hover over the Dropbox icon in your menu bar for this info.
Also, do you perhaps have any third party apps that might be looking at your files, which would cause them to get downloaded?
For example, any security apps, like an antivirus, or other backup services or third party applications that monitor files in general?
Let me know and we'll go from there.
