I signed into my account after a long time, and suddenly all my files are gone. Can I restore them?
I uploaded photos to my dropbox in 2012 and thought they’d be safely stored here.To my surprise,i have logged in and noticed that all my photos have disappeared. It turns out that i should have logged in every now and then, something i wasn’t aware of.The account hasn’t been deleted, but it got empty.
is there any way to recover the photos?
thank you

No, sorry. As the email says to warn you about the deletion once the files are removed this is permanent and there is no recovery available.

Unfortunately, Dropbox does have a policy of deleting inactive accounts, so if you don’t log in for an extended period (typically 12 months or more for free accounts), they will remove your files, even if the account itself remains active. Since your files are missing, it’s possible that Dropbox permanently removed them as a result of inactivity.
Since your account was not closed, Dropbox might still have a backup. Go to Dropbox support and request full account recovery and inform them that the files disappeared due to inactivity.

Check the deleted files and events pages, files might have traveled there. If the account was inactive too long, files could be gone for good.
