I can no longer accept an invite with an alternate account.
Hello,
I've been using Dropbox for probably 15 years. I've been using my account since it had just a few MB and recall doing Dropquest yearly to pick up a few more. You can say I am attached to this account. That said, I pay for Dropbox Plus these days. This is a personal account, however, I got my employer to start using it as well (though we do not pay for Teams or Business, just multiple Plus accounts).
My account is a mix of personal contents (camera uploads) and work shared folders.
When dealing with folders from 3rd party work associates, they used to send me invites to my work email address (which has no Dropbox account), and if I clicked on that invite, the invite would approve within my personal account. I assume this is because I had the link. It didn't matter if this was a shared folder or just a single file or just view permissions.
At some point in the past year or two, this all changed. It may have been longer ago, I can't remember. Now, when someone invites me to a shared folder at my work account and I follow the link, my only option is to Request Access with my personal account. Why is this?
Is there a way I can add my work email address as an alias for my personal Dropbox account?
I do not want two Dropbox accounts... and the approach that is presented when Dropbox tries to make me a 2nd account is all wrong.
Two accounts would be acceptable in the future ONLY if sync could be aggregated or carefully managed. I don't want two sync clients running.
What are my options here? And what changed?

Hi Nick M.2, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Have you tried adding a secondary email to your Dropbox account to see if this helps?
