How can I collapse the Dropbox folder in the navigation pane on Windows 11?

Each time I start Win11 and I open a new window in Explorer View, the Dropbox folder is completely expanded in the Navigation Pane. As I have a lot of subfolders, it takes all the vertical space, and this is very inconvenient. Is there a way to default the Dropbox folder to be collapsed (as all the others normally are), and only expanding it when needed by clicking on the > sign at the left of it?

  • Hi Jay thanks, after your question I realised this was I problem I had with all our folders, and solved it. I am sorry for having disturbed the whole community. Sylow23.

Hi Sylow23, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Could you attach a series of screenshots showing what you're describing in Explorer?

Is this only happening with the Dropbox folder?

This will help me to assist further!

Hey Sylow23 , I'm glad to see you got to the bottom of your issue. You certainly didn't disturb the community... your thread could really help someone else who might face a similar problem in the future 🤓.

I'm Theresa, one of the Community Managers here at Dropbox 😺. I'm always curious and interested in learning how people use Dropbox in their daily lives. If you're open to sharing, I’d love to hear more about how you use Dropbox day to day, and which features you regularly rely on. Who knows? We might be able to offer some additional tips or ways to boost your productivity
