What happens with Dropbox if I do a clean Os install?

What happens with Dropbox if I do a clean Os install?

I'm going to do a clean install of Sonoma on one of my Mac's. This will obviously delete all of my Dropbox files.  Will that affect the Dropbox files on my other two Mac’s? If so do I sign out of Dropbox or uninstall it or what?

if the Sonoma reinstall doesn’t hurt the other Mac’s, I’ll be fine since I will the migrate everything on one of the other Mac’s.  Hopefully the, I will have two identical setups that work.

thanks for any advice

Hey there, @SausalitoDog, thanks for posting here!

The best thing that you can do, is sign out of your Dropbox account on that specific device.

That way, even if your files are erased locally, the changes won't sync to the website, and therefore to the other two Macs.

I hope this helps!

Just uninstall the Dropbox application first, to be safe, and you'll be fine.
