'internal error - general failure encountered during disk I/O operation' error on desktop app

Hello.

I did use my comapny e-mail for my dropbox. Last week the comapny crated an dropbox bussnies. I did then change the e-mail for my "old" dropbox to my private e-mail (an gmail.com). So i was able to join the dropbox bussnies with the @Spectre.no e-mail.

but now i'm not able to acsess all the files in shared folders on my private e-mail. When i do try to open a document it says "internal error - genral failure encountered during disk I/O operation" Any hot tips to fix this? I'm able to open the files in the webrowser, but not on desktop.

i have done an reinstall of the windows app.

Hey @Hengebru, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

From the error you mentioned, it seems like Dropbox is reporting an Operational disk I/O error.

This means that Dropbox can't read from your hard drive, which is something that's usually caused by some kind of hardware issue.

I would highly recommend that you have your hard drive backed up and checked by a professional.

You can learn how to check your hard disk for errors here.

I hope this helps, but let me know if you have any questions.
