Acct login problems...

Hello! I created a DropBox acct 11ish years ago when my daughter was born. I put alllllll of my photos of her on my DropBox for the first 2ish years of her life.

One day, I accidentally deleted my DropBox app. When I tried to reinstall, it wouldn't let me log back in. It said I didn't have an acct with my email address anymore.

So today, feeling so depressed to not have photos from my daughter's early years, I tried to log on with my old email address. It said it sent a code to the email, but the email address has been hacked or something and doesn't even have my recovery phone number/email there for me to try to change the password.

Is it possible for Dropbox to verify it's my account from like a photo verification or something? I send them a photo of me and my daughter and they let me in???? Desperate and depressed! Thank you 🙂

Hi morganelizabeth4015, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Could you clarify when was the last time you attempted to login to that Dropbox account via the site or mobile app?

This will help me to assist further!

If it's been over 12 months since the last login, then it means that Dropbox would've deactivated the account due to inactivity around 8 years ago.

Unfortunately, this means that it wouldn't be possible to recover the account or the files within.

I'm sorry I can't be more helpful on this matter.
