If I delete the Dropbox app from my Mac, will my files be deleted from the website as well?

I have to delete the app from my Mac to free up space, and will be using the online version from now on. once I delete the app, will my files be deleted from the online version as well? I used Dropbox Backup yesterday. I just need to know that my files on the web version will be safe once I uninstall the app.

    No, your files won't be deleted online. If you want some reassurance, remove the device from your Security page first, then delete the app from your computer.
